This app offers an alternative to Facebook Marketplace for the Wellesley College community. Facebook Marketplace can sometimes be confusing and it is difficult to verify people’s identities. Junction offers the ability to buy and sell products and services. It also offers opportunities to trade, donate and contribute to the Wellesley community. It fosters civic engagement within Wellesley, reduces consumerism and encourages more sustainable practices.

Culinary Alchemy

This app takes advantage of the voice activated features of the Alexa Echodot. It is an alexa skill that allows people to reduce food waste by providing them with on demand recipes. Users list out the ingredients they have available in their pantry and fridge and the app suggests recipes for them. Once a user decides on a recipe, the app guides them through the process of cooking with step by step voice prompts. It is powered by ChatGPT.
